New Shopping Features for 2026
Amazon is leaning heavily into budget shopping tiers and automation to capture inflation-weary shoppers this summer.
Amazon Haul Sitewide Sale
For the first time during a Prime Day event, Amazon is integrating its low-cost “Amazon Haul” storefront into the main promotion. On Day 1 (June 23), members get 50% off sitewide on Amazon Haul items.
The storefront specializes in unbranded, ultra-low-priced goods, featuring beauty products under $5 and home organization tools under $8.
Automated AI Shopping with “Alexa for Shopping”
Amazon is rolling out an updated version of its AI retail assistant. This year, shoppers can set target prices for specific items. If the item drops to that price during the four-day window, Alexa can automatically execute the purchase via Auto-Buy. The assistant can also pull up 365 days of price history on the product detail page to show whether a discount is a genuine all-time low.
Perks for Young Adults
Prime members aged 18 to 24 can stack an extra 10% cash back on top of standard Prime Day discounts using a Prime Student or young adult tier.
Additionally, starting June 17, these members can claim free tickets to early theatrical screenings of Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day ahead of its wide July 31 release.
Shopping Strategy: Don’t buy on impulse. Use the built-in price history tool to verify the discount. If you are hunting for high-demand items like the Fire TV Stick or Dyson fans, use the Alexa app to set automated price alerts before the midnight PT launch on June 23.
